I have to say that Chain Bear has a really good ideal on dealing with balancing Heritage venues with More Money than Sin venues by rotating some of the tracks.
IMO, Paul Ric ard needs to DIE YESTERDAY, and return to being a test track and racing venue for lower FIA classes. Way past time to bring back Magny-C ours, or another French track being brought to Grade 1 status. If that can’t happen anytime soon, give us at least one race in Germany every other season.
Imola should comeback after 2021 or 2022 once the new cars are up and running. It could rotate with Catalunya. Mugello , not so much because I don’t see them fixing the pit entrance anytime soon — multi-car crashes or not.
Sochi? Rotate out. Bah rain can rotate in and out with Turkey. Even though it won’t happen, China and Kuala Lumpur should be rotating buddies.
Caesar’s Palace is a 1000% Fuck No. Interlagos needs to be on the Heritage list. Saudi Arabia??? They can GFT!!! Portimao, South Africa, & Argentina for rotation?
Now to just find a spot for Baby Park.
What do you think, Oppo?

It’ll never happen but:
Add Watkins Glen.
Ditch Monaco (I mean, really, I get it but it’s always dull as shit).
Please get rid of Paul Richard. Holy hell.
And agree on Interlagos.

I believe Watkins Glen is only a FIA Grade 2 track right now. But if you’re talking WG, I rather have Road America.
Monaco is a Heritage venue. It’s going nowhere.
As stated, totally agree on Paul Ricard.

Yeah, the only Grade 1 track here is COTA so our only other real option would be a street circuit (and let’s hope COVID killed Miami for good).
But I can dream.

Is BH up to Grade 1, or at least financially capable of getting there at a reasonable price?
Nevertheless, Silverstone is a Heritage venue. So maybe BH can replace Paul Ricard until Magny-Cours is ready?

brands hatch is not up to grade 1..not sure how reasonable it would be to get it there either (or if they could do it without ruining the track)
f1 should just occasionally race on grade 2 tracks coz they are awesome

With the elevation changes Portimao needs to be in at least alternating rotation. Sochi is boring.
Monaco is a parade waiting for someone to crash.
Mexico is always interesting as the elevation seems to mess with the teams.
Spa is my only sacred cow that has to be there

Yeah he’s out here trying to be all serious about this and the rest of us just want old school race tracks :)

I definitely enjoy the random failures due to Mexico’s altitude.

It’s pro bably worth more $$$ than every other race, and has had four different winners in the last five years.
There are at least a dozen other races I’d cancel first.

A back-to-back in Montreal and Watkins Glen would have been great this year.
I still like Monaco, though it should be more of an ‘All Star Weekend’ with mul tiple races (maybe no points): Have the drives do some spec-racing (stock Caymans?) as well as a Pro-Am, and something involving BAC Monos. If it must be a points race, how about picking the grid out of a hat?
It’s a spectacle, if not a parade as well. But as I said below, four different winners in the last five years.

I’m just over the rich nonsense. I’m not opposed to it if they did something over the top to make the race more exciting or unusual but nothing about Monaco holds any appeal to me.

For the safety of the drivers, teams, and fans, a Grade 2 track should never be used for a F1 race.

“Paul Ricard needs to DIE YESTERDAY”
Could not agree more. I’m also of the opinion that Catalunia needs to go but I suspect that part of the reason it’s always so boring is that pre season testing happens there so teams generally have a lot more data and are less willing to take risks. With that in mind, remove Paul Ricard from the racing calendar but make it the site for preseason testing and then teams only have normal data for Catalunia.
As for other tracks, if we could bring back Nurburgring, Portimao, and Imola and maybe drop Paul Ricard, Monaco, and Abu Dhabi, that would be such an improvement.

Surprisingly, Adelaide is FIA Grade 3! So it's a NOPE.

Money and Heritage means Abu Dhabi isn't going anywhere anytime soon and Monaco will always be with us.

Unfortunately I think you’re right. The thing is modern F1 cars are just completely unsuited to Monaco. I’m a huge Ricciardo fan and I loved seeing him get his redemption win a few years back, but it’s also a good argument for how bad the track was. If Vettel (then in race winning form) couldn’t pass a car with no functioning ERS for over a dozen laps...

Almost forgot: Indianapolis Motor Speedway is still a FIA Grade 1 track.
I doubt Penske would even offer it up. Even if he did but without the original GP circuit used from 2000-2007, it would be shit.
